Hatching

Visual arts have always been a powerful means of conveying narratives and emotions that transcend language barriers. „Hatching“, a personal art project, exemplifies how visual storytelling can effectively share the experience of depression and personal growth. The project features two protagonists whose emotional journey unfolds from the depths of depression to a transformative self- discovery. The cocoon is a central symbol, representing the emotional struggles they face. Initially depicted with dark and somber hues, the cocoon mirrors the confining space of depression, evoking feelings of isolation and hopelessness.

„Hatching“ serves as a testament to the power of visual arts as a medium for storytelling. Through this project, I share my personal journey of battling depression and finding inner strength. Clothing, color, and lighting are utilized to convey emotions and experiences, inviting viewers to reflect on their own struggles and triumphs. „Hatching“ stands as an inspiring example of how visual storytelling can create shared experiences, fostering empathy and connection among viewers.
